Privacy policy

Effective 31 October 2026.

StacKard stores loyalty cards on your phone. The app requires no StacKard account, shows no ads and includes no analytics. We do not operate our own card server. Below we explain where your data is and when it leaves your phone.

Who is responsible for the app

StacKard is published by MTAPP Maciej Tokarzewski (“we”). For privacy questions, write to info@stackard.pl.

Data on your phone

Card names and numbers, code formats, colors, private notes, photos, usage history and settings are stored in app storage. They are used to display cards, search and order your wallet. We have no access to them.

The app does not encrypt this data with an additional password; access depends on your phone’s security.

Camera and photos

The camera reads codes while you scan. Camera images are not sent to us or saved as card photos. Without camera access you can type the number.

You choose an optional card photo in the system picker. The app keeps a smaller copy and leaves the original unchanged. We do not obtain your location.

Sharing cards

System sharing opens only after your action. A link, QR code or QR image contains the card’s name, code, format and color, without notes, photos or usage history. The app you choose to send it with works under its own policies.

Anyone with a copy can use the card. StacKard cannot remotely revoke a sent copy.

iCloud

iCloud sync stays off until you turn it on. Once on, the app syncs card names and numbers, formats, colors, creation dates, notes and photos with the private CloudKit database in your Apple account. Apple stores this data under your account’s terms; we cannot see it. Settings and usage history stay on your phone.

Sync runs while the app is open and needs internet. Turning sync off or deleting the app keeps your iCloud data. After you delete a card, a technical marker without card content remains so that an older device does not restore it. If your Apple account changes, sync pauses and the cards on your phone remain.

Backups

A backup export also includes private notes, photos and usage history. StacKard does not encrypt this file. You choose where to save it and whom to send it to.

Your iPhone’s system iCloud backup may include app data, depending on your phone and Apple account settings. It is not a service operated by StacKard.

Ads, analytics and purchases

The app shows no ads, includes no analytics tools or in-app purchases and does not use a server of ours.

Retention and deletion

Data stays in the app until you delete the card or the app. Delete a card from its editor. Temporary files may remain in cache until the system clears it.

Deleting a card does not delete copies sent to others, exports or earlier system backups. Remove iCloud data in the iCloud settings on your iPhone. We have no server copy to delete or restore on your behalf.

Your rights

You have the right to access, correct, delete and restrict the processing of your data. Because card data never reaches us, you exercise these rights yourself in the app and in iCloud settings. You may also lodge a complaint with a data protection authority, in Poland the President of the Personal Data Protection Office (UODO).

Changes

The current version of this policy is always on this page, with its effective date. We will announce significant changes on this page before they take effect.

When you write to us, do not include card numbers, photos or full backups.
